IXYS releases extended range of thyristor / diode modules

Europower Components Ltd (a franchised European distributor for IXYS / Westcode) are pleased to anounce the release of the extended range of thyristor / diode modules from Westcode (an IXYS company)

Westcode Semiconductors Limited, has expanded its portfolio of IXYS branded pressure contact dual thyristor and diode modules to encompass 8 configurations, offering dual thyristor, thyristor/diode, diode/thyristor and dual diode combinations.

Available with repetitive peak off-state voltage grades from 1200V to 2600V, these versatile modules are constructed using a new bus bar design, which retains an industry standard connection footprint, mounted on an electrically isolated base plate. However, the simplified mechanical design aids rapid assembly and the full pressure contact construction complies with industry standard package outline with UL recognition.

In addition to our existing range of MCC 501-##io1 modules are, M## 431-##io1 modules are now available in MCC (Dual thyristor), MCD (Thyristor/Diode) and MDC (Diode/Thyristor) configurations with voltage grades 2200V and 2400V and maximum average on-state current rating of 429A. Other configurations are also available upon request.

MDD 710-##N1 and MDD 810-##N1 dual diode modules are available with voltage grades of 1200V to 2600V with maximum average on-state current ratings of 708A and 807A respectively.
Applications for these devices include soft-starts, industrial drives, wind power converters, electrochemical power supplies and welding, plus all rectifier and power conversion in the multi 100kW range.
